32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats,
33 and he will put the sheep at his right hand and the goats at the left.
Prayer Focus: In this parable, all the nations are gathered before the Son of Man and, from his throne, the Son of Man separates people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. There is an intentional sorting that occurs, just as in the parable of the foolish and wise young women we read a few weeks ago. But please note that while the criteria for sorting in each parable is different, the sorting itself is never done by us. It is not up to you or to me who will be placed on the right or the left of the throne. Pray that you will trust that the Lord will do the sorting and not try to take on that job yourself.
