Tuesday, May 10: Scripture – Revelation 21:2
2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Prayer Focus: The vision John sees of God’s ultimate redemption and reconciliation of the world is a holy city. Not a tranquil mountain side or pastures of unending grain. No, it’s a holy city, coming down out of heaven from God. God does not intend to gather up everything on earth and take us to heaven. God intends for heaven and earth to be joined as God comes down to us. Look with expectation for the ways in which the Lord has already come down. Pray for glimpses of the holy city here and now. Rejoice in the ways in which God is already at work transforming this world – not just waiting until a new day in some other place.
