Tuesday, June 21: Scripture – 1 Samuel 10:1b-2
1 Now this shall be the sign to you that the Lord has anointed you ruler over his heritage:
2 When you depart from me today you will meet two men by Rachel’s tomb in the territory of Benjamin at Zelzah; they will say to you, ‘The donkeys that you went to seek are found, and now your father has stopped worrying about them and is worrying about you, saying: “What shall I do about my son?” ’
Prayer Focus: Samuel gives Saul a sign that he is indeed the king that the Lord has anointed. He will meet two men by Rachel’s tomb who will tell him that the donkeys he is looking for have been found and his father is now worried about him. Saul was looking for lost donkeys when he met Samuel and was anointed as king of Israel. What foolish errand do you have to run today? Pray that it might be an errand that enables you to be empowered by the Spirit in an unexpected way.
