2 Out of the mouths of babes and infants
you have founded a bulwark because of your foes,
to silence the enemy and the avenger.
Prayer Focus: The images in this verse seem to be at odds with one another. First, God’s majesty is established out of the mouths of babes and infants, but then majesty is founded on the ability to silence the enemy and the avenger. Could it be that both the weakest and the strongest among us can both lift their voices in praise to the Lord? Where do you feel weak today? Where are you empowered with strength? As you pray, remember that the Lord meets you in both.
