Tuesday, January 10: Scripture – 1 Corinthians 1:2
2 To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, together with all those who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:
Prayer Focus: As Paul identifies himself primarily as one called by the will of God to be an apostle of Jesus Christ; Paul also identifies the church by their relation to God, ie,“the church of God that is in Corinth … who are sanctified in Christ Jesus … called to be saints” Do you think of our church as those called by God to be saints? Or do you see us more as just a group of people who gather out of convenience and common interest? Pray that we might be filled with the Spirit of God who calls us together, for we belong to God.
