Tuesday, February 8: Scripture – Psalm 1:4-6
4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
6 for the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
Prayer Focus: According to the psalmist, those who delight and follow God’s law flourish. However, not everyone chooses to do so. The psalmist calls those who do not follow the law, “the wicked.” While those who follow the law are like trees with deep roots planted by streams of water, the wicked are like chaff that the wind drives away. Pray that you might turn from following your own path today; pray that you might return to the way of the Lord. Plant some deep roots!
