Tuesday, February 14 : Scripture – Psalm 2:2-3
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and his anointed, saying,
3 “Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast their cords from us.”
Prayer Focus: The kings and rulers take counsel together, but they really desire independence from the Lord. How can they fail to understand that it is the love of God that brings life to the world? How can they not see that the desire to burst their bonds leads to loneliness, not freedom? We belong, one to another. Pray on this day in which we celebrate love for a sense of the common good for all.
