3 And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it. 4 And I began to weep bitterly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it.
Prayer Focus: The scroll containing God’s word needs to be opened, but no one “in heaven or on earth or under the earth” was able to open the scroll. The angels were not worthy to open it. Caesar or anyone in the Roman empire was not worthy to open it. None of the leaders of any of the world’s religions were worthy to open it. Not even anyone or thing under the earth was worthy to open the scroll. It seems that God’s entire plan is threatened because there is no one worthy to open the scroll. What makes one worthy? Are you worthy? Pray that one might be found worthy to open the scroll and look into it.
