Tuesday, April 27: Scripture – Acts 8:27b-28

Now there was an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official of the Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, in charge of her entire treasury. He had come to Jerusalem to worship 28 and was returning home; seated in his chariot, he was reading the prophet Isaiah.

Prayer Focus: An Ethiopian eunuch with a position of power and influence in his own country had come to Jerusalem to worship. He was a seeker and a reader. So he was seated in his chariot reading the prophet Isaiah. I don’t know much about reading in a chariot, but I imagine it was not the easiest thing for him to do given the challenges of first century chariot construction and wilderness roads. But he was persistent. Pray that you might be persistent in your search for God and in our questions. Read something from the prophet Isaiah today.
