Thursday, October 6: Scripture – 2 Kings 5:8-9
8 But when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, he sent a message to the king, “Why have you torn your clothes? Let him come to me, that he may learn that there is a prophet in Israel.”
9 So Naaman came with his horses and chariots and halted at the entrance of Elisha’s house.
Prayer Focus: Elisha hears that the king of Israel is in distress, so Elisha sends word for Naaman to come to see him. Did he know of the foreign military general’s need beforehand? Had he somehow learned of the captive girl’s hope and promise? However he found out, the prophet sent word that he can help. Who can you help today? Pray that you will be willing when the need is made known to you today.
