11 On the way to Jerusalem Jesus was going through the region between Samaria and Galilee.
12 As he entered a village, ten men with a skin disease approached him. Keeping their distance,
13 they called out, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
Prayer Focus: On this Thanksgiving Day, we turn to a second scripture text. Jesus and the disciples are on their way to Jerusalem and ten men with a skin disease approached him. The law required them to keep their distance and so they did, but they called out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” On this day dedicated to abundance of food and gratitude, pray that you will also remember to cry out to the Lord for mercy. The needs in the world are great. Include in your prayers a request to the one who can meet the world’s deep needs.
