4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving

    and his courts with praise.

    Give thanks to him; bless his name.

Prayer Focus: A week from today, we will gather to celebrate a day of Thanksgiving. How are you preparing for the holiday? Does it feel overwhelming? Are you stressed because your family contains diverse political or theological ideas that often result in conflict and hurt feelings? Will there be an empty chair at your table this year and you dread what feelings and emotions that might bring? Are you joyfully anticipating a return of friends or family you have not seen in far too long? Just pause today and sit with your emotions and expectations. God is present with you in the midst of all of them. Give thanks that God is with you.
