Thursday, November 10: Scripture – Ephesians 4:9-10
9 (When it says, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower parts of the earth?
10 He who descended is the same one who ascended far above all the heavens, so that he might fill all things.)
Prayer Focus: Paul seems to be talking in circles here. Christ ascended means that he must have descended first, but now he is far above the heavens. But the purpose of all this movement by Christ is so that he might fill all things. In what ways do you see Christ filling the world, filling the church, filling our community, filling your life? Christ has ascended so that he might fill all things. Pray that you might see the fullness of God in all things today.
