21 “So one of the men who have accompanied us during all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22 beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us—one of these must become a witness with us to his resurrection.”
Prayer Focus: Peter proposes a process for determining who will take Judas’ place among the apostles. It should be one who has been a part of the group from the beginning. Remember this group is about 120 people, so there should be a variety of those who are eligible for consideration. But notice that they are looking for one who will not just occupy a seat on the board or be a warm body to fill a place. They are seeking one who “must become a witness with us to Christ’s resurrection.” This is a particular call to service. Pray for all who are witnesses to Christ’s resurrection today. Could you be one so called to serve?
