9 After this I looked, and there was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, robed in white, with palm branches in their hands.
10 They cried out in a loud voice, saying,
“Salvation belongs to our God who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
Prayer Focus: Yesterday we read that there would be 144,000 servants of God marked and sealed. Immediately following that limited number we find the vision shifts location back to heaven and “a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages.” Yes, God’s vision for the heavenly kingdom is larger than we imagine. If we were creating the guest list, I am sure there are some people we would exclude. But the grace of God is wider and deeper than we know. Pray that you might extend grace today to someone you are inclined to ignore, avoid, or disparage.
