Prayer Focus: The second text we consider this week comes from the Gospel of John. As we continue to circle around the Gospel of John and the letters attributed to this disciple, we hear again, “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” Why does Jesus have to command us to love one another? I think because we forget. We become selfish. We lose sight of what Jesus asks us to do. Pray that you might hear this command once again and remember to love one another.
