Thursday, May 26: Scripture – Acts 16:25-26

25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

26 Suddenly there was an earthquake, so violent that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were unfastened.

Prayer Focus: Paul and Silas are praying and singing at midnight when a great earthquake hits the prison. Not only are Paul and Silas unfastened and their cell doors opened, everyone in the entire prison is freed. Remember this story begins with the freeing a slave-girl from possession by a spirit. The earthquake has now freed Paul, Silas, and all the prisoners. Once freedom begins, it spreads. Pray that freedom and release from bondage might be shared across our community and nation.
