Thursday, May 18: Scripture – Acts 1:7-8
7 He replied, “It is not for you to know the times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority.
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Prayer Focus: Jesus reminds the apostles that what is important is not God’s timing, but what they do with the time and the power they are given. They are to be witnesses. They are to be those who point out what God has done in Jesus. And like throwing a rock into a still pond, the ripples will spread. From Jerusalem, to Judea and Samaria, to the ends of the earth. Thank the Lord that the ripple spread all the way to Fort Mill, SC! And pray that it is not finished rippling yet.
