Prayer Focus: As is so often the case in scripture, when there is a direct encounter with God some are amazed and others are dismissive. Here, the presence of the Spirit, the ability to speak in other languages, and the ability to hear in one’s own language, are dismissed by some who sneer and declare the apostles are drunk. Are there ways in which you too easily dismiss the presence and power of God? Are you anticipating God will be present today in your life? Pray that you might have eyes to see and ears to hear how God is with you today. Do not be quick to dismiss!
