7 Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it; and he sat on it.
Prayer Focus: If you bring a colt to Jesus, he will sit on it. The disciples have completed their task – they went into the village, found the colt, untied it, told the bystanders what they were doing, and brought the colt to Jesus. They threw their own cloaks on the colt and Jesus sat on it. It seems like just an ordinary event, hardly worthy of getting a few lines in scripture. And yet, without these disciples and the colt, the rest of the story never happens. Who has done something seemingly minor for you and yet has made the rest of your day possible? Give thanks to God for those who serve you. Be sure to say thank you directly to the person who helped you today.
