Thursday, March 23: Scripture – Matthew 14:26-27
26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out in fear.
27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them and said, “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.”
Prayer Focus: The disciples see Jesus walking on the sea and this does not compute. They are terrified and think Jesus is a ghost! Immediately, Jesus spoke to them and said, “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.” In our moments of fear, when we are not exactly sure what is going on, when we are tired from the trip across the sea, when we do not know how we will meet our step up and step out pledge, listen for the voice of the Lord: Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid. Pray that you might not be afraid.
