Thursday, December 29: Scripture – Revelation 21:1
1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
Prayer Focus: We turn from Isaiah’s vision to the Revelation to John. The final vision that John sees is of the new heaven and the new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. In addition there is this curious phrase, “the sea was no more.” Just as God brought order to the chaos in the creation as recorded in Genesis, here in the final vision God once again tames the chaotic waters of the sea as part of the new heaven and new earth. God intends to bring order to the chaos of your life and that threatens God’s world. Pray that the new heaven and the new earth might come quickly.
