Thursday, April 13: Scripture – Luke 24:41-43

41 Yet for all their joy they were still disbelieving and wondering, and he said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?”

42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish,

43 and he took it and ate in their presence.

Prayer Focus: This is one of my favorite verses in all of scripture. Jesus is raised from the dead after three days in the tomb. The last time he had anything to eat was at the Last Supper. He disappeared in Emmaus after breaking the bread, so he missed that meal. He’s hungry. If the disciples need proof that Jesus was not a ghost, they get it right here: “Have you anything here to eat?” It’s like Jesus is a teenager who has just gotten home from school! “Have you anything here to eat?” Get the man some fish! Pray that you might enjoy the resurrection and the smiles this story brings.
