Scripture – 1 Timothy 6:18-19

18 They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, 19 thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life.

Prayer Focus: The instructions continue for those who are rich – to do good, be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share. This morning in worship we will focus on how we love in a way that makes us generous and ready to share. The Greek word for “share” is koinonikos and one Greek dictionary defines it as a person who gladly opens their life and resources to others. It describes an inwardly cultivated habit rather than an occasional act. Pray that you might love in a way that is generous and cultivated toward sharing with others. Pray that our church might be marked by this kind of spirit as well. For where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also.
