Sunday, September 4: Scripture – Psalm 1:4-6
4 The wicked are not so but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous,
6 for the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
Prayer Focus: According to the psalmist there is another path. It is the path that leads to being driven away by the wind; a path with no roots or fruit. Pray that the Lord will watch over your way today and plant you by streams of water. Pray that our church might bear the fruit of the gospel in all that we do, for our roots will be watered by the word of the Lord.
