Scripture – Lamentations 3:26 – It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. 

Prayer Focus: Waiting quietly does not mean doing nothing.  If we are waiting for the salvation of the Lord, that means we hope and trust that God’s love and mercy will have the last word.  Living into this hope does not deny the troubles of this world, quite the opposite…it means naming the troubles of this world and responding to them in a way that affirms God’s love for all of God’s children.  The troubles of this world will change and pass, but God’s faithfulness never changes.  Pray this week that you might practice living as someone whose hope is in the Lord.
