39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; the eunuch saw him no more, and went on his way rejoicing.
Prayer Focus: Baptism is always connected with the Holy Spirit in the Acts of the Apostles. So as they came up out of the water, the Spirit snatched Philip away. The eunuch would now continue his journey alone. We celebrate today that our confirmation students have been received as full, active, adult members of our church. They no longer rely on the faith of their parents, for they have claimed the faith for themselves. Yet, it is up to us to be sure they do not walk alone. Welcome them, pray for them, and walk with them throughout the journey ahead as together we begin again.
