8 “Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.”

Prayer Focus: That’s right, you’ve read this verse before…and its worth reading again and again.  Today as you reread this first verse of the Sabbath commandment, I want you to sit quietly in a comfortable space.  I want you to breathe, listen, be still.  Even if all you have is 15 minutes, take those minutes to slow down and rest.  Put down your work, pick up the reminder that you are a divine image of God.  You are worthy of rest.  No matter how much you got done this week, or how much you left undone.  You are worthy of rest.  Rest here and now, because you are loved by the God who rests.
