Sunday, July 23: Return
“You will be blessed when you are out and about and blessed when you come back.” -Deuteronomy 28:6
Consider: All that you have experienced this week. People you have encountered. Places you have been. Things you have learned. Emotions you have felt. In just one week, we take in so much even if at first we don’t realize it.
Reflect: Give yourself grace when you return home. Whether you are walking in the door from being in Honduras, or from a long day at work…allow grace to be the first thing that welcomes you home. Take time to rest and get acclimated before you begin to unpack your suitcase, as well as your thoughts.
Pray: God of all people, be with me now as I come home. Help me to rest, remember, and reflect on all I have seen, and heard, and experienced. Amen.
