36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Prayer Focus: Jesus saw the crowds and had compassion for them. Often in scripture, compassion is an emotion that compels one to action; it bubbles up from deep inside and cannot be contained. It is not pity, but a motivation to aid and assist one in need. Jesus sees the crowds, recognizes that they are like sheep without a shepherd, and is moved to action. Pray that you might be moved to action today in the assistance of someone in need.
