12 When they were satisfied, he told his disciples, “Gather up the fragments left over, so that nothing may be lost.”
13 So they gathered them up, and from the fragments of the five barley loaves, left by those who had eaten, they filled twelve baskets.
Prayer Focus: The story could have ended with “everyone ate as much as they wanted.” Jesus provides and all are filled. Amen. But there is more. Where initially the disciples saw scarcity, now they are invited to gather up the fragments that are left over after 5000 people have been fed. There was abundance. Pray that you might have eyes to see not scarcity, but abundance. Find a way to share the abundance that you see today with those who are still in need.
