14 Seek good and not evil,
that you may live,
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you,
just as you have said.
Prayer Focus: Amos presents the people with a simple choice – seek good and not evil that you may live. The difference between good and evil seems to be a bit more complicated than that, but the goal is the same: that you may live. What acts can you take today that lead toward life for you and all in your community? How might doing so help us to see that the Lord, the God of hosts, is with us?
