13 So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When they came together, the Lord made her conceive, and she bore a son.
14 Then the women said to Naomi, “Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without next-of-kin; and may his name be renowned in Israel!
15 He shall be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher of your old age; for your daughter-in-law who loves you, who is more to you than seven sons, has borne him.”
Prayer Focus: Boaz and Ruth are blessed with a son. The women of Bethlehem, the ones who greeted Ruth’s mother-in-law Naomi in her sorrow upon her return from Moab, now celebrate with Naomi. Blessed be the Lord who has provided a next of kin to care for her in her old age. And she is blessed with a daughter-in-law who loves her and is more faithful to her than seven sons. Pray today for mothers and daughters and daughters-in-law. Pray that these relationships will be filled with life and love.
