Scripture – Jeremiah 1:9

9 Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me,
“Now I have put my words in your mouth.

Prayer Focus: Not only does the Lord promise presence as we move from the past into the future, but the Lord also transforms us for service. In Jeremiah’s case that is touching his mouth and literally giving him words. Last week we saw Moses’s initial objection to his call overcome with a promise of the Lord’s presence. This week Jeremiah’s transformation includes the Lord giving him words. As you read the confirmation students’ statements of faith tomorrow, think about the amazing words the Lord has given them to share their faith. The Lord has given you words to share the gospel. Pray that you might be transformed today!
