Saturday, March 11: Scripture – Joshua 4:10-11
10 The priests who bore the ark remained standing in the middle of the Jordan until everything was finished that the Lord had commanded Joshua to tell the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua. The people crossed over in haste.
11 As soon as all the people had finished crossing over, the ark of the Lord and the priests crossed over to the front of the people.
Prayer Focus: The people crossed over in haste. You can imagine that it was a bit unnerving to see the waters of the Jordan cut off and the people crossing on dry land. Remember that it has been 40 years since the crossing of the Red Sea, so this is all new to God’s people. Thus, they went with haste. Think about your life and your faith. What are you in a hurry to accomplish? How can you run to experience what God has in store for you?
