9 O Lord, our Sovereign,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Prayer Focus: We return to the opening lines of the psalm in the final verse. It is a reminder not only of the majesty of God, but that human beings are not the Lord’s of creation. It might be easy to forget our place in God’s creation after thinking yesterday about the “dominion” granted to us. So, let us never forget in our prayers that glory is due to God and God alone. As our hymn reminds us, let us, “bow in humble adoration, and there proclaim, ‘My God, how great thou art!”
