Scripture – Matthew 22:11-12

11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing a wedding robe, 12 and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding robe?’ And he was speechless.

Prayer Focus: The most unexpected invitation to the wedding banquet for the son of the king still brings with it some expectations. Proper wedding attire is required. I have recently learned of a new trend at weddings to provide the guests with a dress code with requested particular colors or styles. I doubt anyone is kicked out or denied entry if they show up wearing the wrong color (as long as you’re not wearing a white dress), but in this case the king definitely notices the guest who is not in his wedding robe. Pray for those who are not prepared for the party that is ahead. What might you do today to help someone prepare?
