10 For thus says the Lord: Only when Babylon’s seventy years are completed will I visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place.
11 For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.
Prayer Focus: Perhaps these are familiar words to you. God knows the plans he has for you: plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope! Yes, you can trust that God knows the plan and it is a plan for your welfare. Yet, do not forget the first verse we read today. Only when the time of exile is completed, will God fulfill the promise and bring you home. The plan is certain, but the timing is not. Pray that you might wait for God to fulfill the promises and plans God has for you.
