27 Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.
Prayer Focus: Have you heard yet this week that you are the body of Christ? I particularly like this phrasing because it reminds us that our first identity is as the body of Christ, and from there we are individually members of it. We don’t start as individuals and find a body that seems to benefit us. No, we are the body first and we find our individuality within the community. Pray for our community, pray for our church, pray for the universal church. May we find our common ground and purpose.
