Prayer Focus: Jesus is moved with pity. In addition to his word, Jesus stretched out his hand and touched the man. This would have resulted in immediate ritual contamination. But instead of contamination, the result is cleanliness. Immediately – not over the course of the next round of treatment, but immediately! – the leprosy left him and he was made clean. Throughout the pandemic, so many have longed for a physical touch – a handshake, a hug, a fist bump. While such physical touch might not be safe yet, pray that you might find other ways to connect with your family and friends today. Reach out and find ways to make one another clean.
