Scripture – Isaiah 25:6-8

6 On this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for all peoples
    a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wines,
    of rich food filled with marrow, of well-aged wines strained clear.

7 And he will destroy on this mountain
    the shroud that is cast over all peoples,
    the covering that is spread over all nations;

8     he will swallow up death forever.
Then the Lord God will wipe away the tears from all faces,
    and the disgrace of his people he will take away from all the earth,
    for the Lord has spoken.

Prayer Focus: We turn back to Isaiah this week as the prophet shares a vision of when God sets all things right. It will be a feast for all peoples. It will be a feast in which all enjoy the best food and the shroud of death is pulled back. There will be no more fear of death and no more tears. Is this a vision and a hope that you share? Are there ways we might begin to live into this vision of generosity and joy even today?
