4 And as he sowed, some seeds fell on a path, and the birds came and ate them up. 5 Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and they sprang up quickly, since they had no depth of soil. 6 But when the sun rose, they were scorched, and since they had no root, they withered away. 7 Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them.
Prayer Focus: The sower in this parable sows seed in a somewhat haphazard way. Some seed falls on the path, others fall on rocky ground, and still overs fall among thorns. All have their own challenges to good growth. There are many pressures upon youth today that seek to limit their growth. Pray for the youth as they prepare to lead us in worship tomorrow. Pray that they might find their way through all the pressure and distraction to hear the Lord’s voice clearly.
