Scripture – Luke 24:30-32

30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he vanished from their sight. 32 They said to each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road, while he was opening the scriptures to us?”

Prayer Focus: We have reached the part of this text that forms the foundation of this year’s Annual Vision. When he was at the table with them, suddenly the guest from the road became the host at the meal. Jesus’ took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. In these characteristic actions that they had seen countless times before, their eyes were opened and they recognized Jesus. Jesus makes a place at the table for you and for me. And as we gather there together, our eyes are opened and we recognize Jesus is with us. Pray that you might find your place at Christ’s table today.
