Monday, October 16: Scripture – Jeremiah 1:4-5
4 Now the word of the Lord came to me saying,
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Prayer Focus: As we conclude our introduction to Unity’s Annual Vision of Ministry: God’s Story and Our Stories and prepare to celebrate Unity’s 235th Anniversary this weekend, we focus this week on, “Imagining the unfolding of God’s transforming story within Unity’s story and our stories.” The word of the Lord comes to Jeremiah and connects the past (before I formed you) with the future (I appointed you a prophet). We stand in a moment between the past and the future. God is present in both and is moving in both to draw us toward a transforming future story. As you enter this week, pray that you might be prepared to both remember and to dream, to celebrate and to anticipate, to give thanks and to be transformed.
