Prayer Focus: This week we will read from the prophet Amos. Throughout the book of Amos there is an emphasis on justice. Our verses for today speak to that. “Seek the Lord and live” is set in sharp contrast to “you who turn justice to wormwood and bring righteousness to the ground.” How would you describe the relationship between justice and life? How is the work of justice seeking the Lord? As you pray today, ask God to reveal to you the work of justice that you are called to do so that you might truly live, and help others live too.
