Monday, November 21: Scripture – Psalm 145:1-3
1 I will extol you, my God and King,
and bless your name forever and ever.
2 Every day I will bless you,
and praise your name forever and ever.
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
his greatness is unsearchable.
Prayer Focus: This is the week of Thanksgiving and it concludes with the First Sunday of Advent. As we walk together through this week, we’ll read and reflect on scriptures from Psalm 145. The psalm begins with a personal declaration to God, my God and King, and the commitment to bless the Lord’s name forever and ever. We often think about the many ways that God blesses us, but the psalmist says, “Every day I will bless you, and praise your name forever and ever.” What can you do today to bless the Lord? Is it gratitude and praise? Pray that you might bless the Lord in all that you do and say today.
