1 After Jesus had spoken these words, he looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son so that the Son may glorify you, 2 since you have given him authority over all people, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
Prayer Focus: We continue this week as Jesus shares final words with his disciples on the night before his death. He is preparing them for life after Jesus is no longer physically present. How do you prepare for a time of absence from those you love? Do you make a list of important information? Do you go to the grocery store to stock up on food? Do you make any plans at all? Jesus has given them lots of information, but now he prays for his disciples. The hour has come. Pray that those who are absent from you might know the only true God and Jesus Christ, for this is eternal life.
