1 Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb.
Prayer Focus: As we enter into Holy Week, we know there are many steps to take before the joys of Easter morning. While we will not visit each of the stops on this journey, we can note that the Gospel of John brings the entire week with Mary Magdalene to the tomb on the first day of the week. It was still dark when she came, stumbling and trying to find her way. Perhaps that is how you are entering this Holy Week. Do not let the dark deter you from seeking the light. Pray for all who stumble in the dark this week.
