Prayer Focus: As we continue through the first chapter of Mark, you might remember that yesterday we read how the whole city had gathered around the door of the home where Jesus was staying. They brought those who were sick or possessed and Jesus healed them. Apparently the work went on for some time throughout the night. Yet, in the morning, while it was still very dark, Jesus got up and found a deserted place to pray. We think of pausing on Sunday to pray or to worship, but on this Monday morning, the first day of a new month, will you find a deserted place and pray? Take time to truly stop, to step away, and to pray today. You have time. Don’t neglect to pray.
