1 My brothers and sisters, do not claim the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ of glory while showing partiality. 

Prayer Focus: It’s clear that James wants us to understand that faith in Jesus Christ and partiality do not go together.  We cannot do both at the same time.  We cannot claim that we follow Christ while at the same time picking and choosing who is worthy of God’s love.  God’s love is unconditional and impartial.  If we claim to follow Christ, then we too are called to the same love for our neighbors.  Pray this week that we might live into that calling.
